In AISTER we have just finished the boat accommodation<\/strong> works carried out on the ship C. 717, called TAQNIA DAMMAN, the most modern oceanographic built in Freire Shipyard to date with a hull of 43 m in length and 10 m beam.<\/p>\n

The works in this new research vessel are the first decorative project and boat accommodation contract signed between the historic shipyard, founded in 1895, and AISTER, created in 1987.<\/p>\n

Turn-key design and accommodation<\/h2>\n

Our responsibility has focused on the design and the boat accommodation of the vessel. We built 595 square meters of interior spaces: the wheelhouse, cabins, mess rooms, galleys with all the necessary services for the crew.<\/p>\n

The scope of the work is:<\/p>\n

Interior design and construction drawings<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have made the interior design project with different proposals for the distribution of rooms, the location of furniture and combination of colours according to the indications of the Shipyard and the Shipowner. We have also been responsible for the construction drawings to deliver to the Shipowner.<\/p>\n

Insulation<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have supplied and installed fire-resistant, thermal and acoustic insulation in bulkheads and decks. We also do insulation works in cold stores.<\/p>\n

Bulkheads<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next, we supply and install the bulkheads according to the requirements of the technical specification (class A, B or C) and, for wet areas, different PVC and INOX finishes. We also carry out the supply and installation of registers in bulkheads and methacrylate screens.<\/p>\n

Floors<\/strong><\/p>\n

We placed all PVC flooring, imitation wood in dry areas, and epoxy or ceramic resin in wet areas.<\/p>\n

Doors<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have placed the interior doors in the research vessel according to requirements of the technical specification of class A, B or C with PVC or INOX finishes. We have also made the installation of all types of door accessories such as locks, electronic locks, light bulbs, retainers, self-closing …<\/p>\n

Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supply and installation of carpentry work related to windows such as panelling, cladding, mouldings, curtains, solar curtains, etc.<\/p>\n

Ceilings<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have supplied and installed the ceilings according to the requirements established in the technical specification (class A, B or C) and with PVC or INOX finishes.<\/p>\n

Toilets<\/strong><\/p>\n

The TAQNIA DAMMAN toilets have been built in-situ with all kinds of accessories: showers, toilets, furniture and bathroom accessories such as mirrors, soap dishes, curtains, etc.<\/p>\n

Furniture<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have designed, supplied and installed wooden furniture (beds, berths, desks, shelves, tables, chairs, etc.) in cabins, wheelhouses, mess rooms, etc. In galleys and laundries, we supply and install stainless steel furniture, easy to clean, maintain and highly resistant.<\/p>\n

Decorative elements<\/strong><\/p>\n

At this point, we placed all decorative items as skirting boards, handrails, roof mouldings, paintings, signage, door signs, coat racks, TV stands, wastebaskets, etc. on the ship.<\/p>\n

Cleaning<\/strong><\/p>\n

When the boat accommodation work finished, a professional company cleaned all the spaces of the vessel with machinery and special products.<\/p>\n

\"Marine<\/p>\n

The TAQNIA DAMMAN aluminium superstructure<\/h2>\n

During the construction process of the oceanographic, we have also participated in the manufacture of its aluminium superstructure.<\/p>\n

This superstructure has a total weight of 17 tons and two decks. It has been built by skilled labour, homologated by Lloyd’s Register and DNV and an aluminium alloy plate EN AW 5083.<\/p>\n
