Aluminium RHIB for Search & Rescue (SAR) from the MZ range, designed for fast interventions at high speeds.
The Barcelona Firefighting department has entrusted us with the construction of its latest vessel, an MZ-RHIB 7.7. Fast, agile and resistant, the MZ-RHIB 7.7 is the lightest model of all our designs and is specially designed to facilitate quick, safe interventions in adverse conditions. Its dimensions and weight also allow it to be transported by road on a conventional trailer.
Main dimensions
The Search & Rescue (SAR) aluminium RHIB is constructed from high quality 5083 H11 marine aluminium and designed for CE Marking with design category B, which means it is built for sailing in up to 4 metres of significant wave and winds of force 8 on the Beaufort scale.
At 7.7 metres lenght and 2.8 metres beam, this is an optimal vessel for rescue and salvage activity. Not only is it fast and agile, but it is also highly resistant to rough sea conditions, as well as for accessing the more difficult and complex areas where many of the rescue operations are carried out.
Design and features
Its deep-V hull ensures both manoeuvrability at high speeds and resistance to rough seas. With an engine configuration of 2 x 200 HP, it exceeds 40 knots of speed, although other configurations are also available which could offer even higher speeds.
It is designed to be ready for immediate launching and can be transported on a conventional trailer, so it can be launched from the water, launched from a trailer in harbours and difficult access areas, or launched from a larger vessel.
Equipment
Like all AISTER designs and models, the equipment of the MZ-RHIB 7.7 is open to the specific needs of each customer.
In this project, the vessel has a fully equipped centre console for search and rescue work, a removable door with access to the water surface, a self-emptying deck and a high stowage capacity. The design also offers a choice of a flat deck or, alternatively, optional rail seating.
Designed with buoyancy reserves, this is an unsinkable case. It has four watertight spaces, electric and one manual bilge pump.
Our aluminium RHIB for Search & Rescue is also equipped with an optimised hull form design.
