Aluminium RHIB for Search & Rescue (SAR) from the MZ range, designed for fast interventions at high speeds.
The Barcelona Firefighting department has entrusted us with the construction of its latest vessel, an MZ-RHIB 7.7. Fast, agile and resistant, the MZ-RHIB 7.7 is the lightest model of all our designs and is specially designed to facilitate quick, safe interventions in adverse conditions. Its dimensions and weight also allow it to be transported by road on a conventional trailer.
Technical specifications
The Search & Rescue (SAR) aluminium RHIB is constructed from high quality 5083 H11 marine aluminium and designed for CE Marking with design category B, which means it is built for sailing in up to 4 metres of significant wave and winds of force 8 on the Beaufort scale.
At 7.7 metres lenght and 2.8 metres beam, this is an optimal vessel for rescue and salvage activity. Not only is it fast and agile, but it is also highly resistant to rough sea conditions, as well as for accessing the more difficult and complex areas where many of the rescue operations are carried out.
Design and Features
Its deep-V hull ensures excellent manoeuvrability at high speeds, as well as resilience against heavy sea conditions. With a twin 200 HP engine configuration, it easily exceeds 40 knots, although other engine setups are available that could provide even greater speeds.
Thanks to its design, this is a rapid-deployment craft that can be transported on a standard trailer. It can be launched directly into the water from a trailer, whether at a port or in hard-to-access areas, or deployed from a larger vessel.
Equipment
As with all AISTER designs and models, the equipment of the MZ-RHIB 7.7 can be fully adapted to meet the specific requirements of each client.
In this particular MZ-RHIB 7.7, the vessel features a fully equipped central console designed for search and rescue operations, a removable gate for direct access to the waterline, a self-draining deck, and ample storage capacity. The layout also allows for a choice between a flush deck or the installation of optional rail-mounted seating.
Designed with built-in buoyancy reserves, this is an unsinkable vessel. It includes four watertight compartments, electric bilge pumps, and a manual pump.
Our aluminium RHIB for Search & Rescue also boasts a hull with an optimised design for maximum performance.
