Race Course David Cal
The Xunta de Galicia, through the Department of Culture and Sports, ordered in 2007 the construction of a race course to contest the European Championship in the reservoir of Verducido (Pontevedra). AISTER was the winning company of the contest and we have to execute the work in a record time: only 5 months.
Floating installations
In the Castro Verducido race course, currently known as the David Cal Sports Center in tribute to the Galician canoeist, AISTER installed a track with Sistema Albano: 9 stainless steel lanes in which the competition is contested and 2 auxiliaries for its protection. In addition, to define its width, the installation has 7 transversal lines of 1.5 m depth.
Apart from the lanes, we place white, yellow and red buoys on the track, we perform the tensioning with 1 t concrete anchors and we facilitate all water access from the ground with aluminum walkways, balconies, weighing platforms for competitors and even a platform for judges. All made of high quality naval aluminum, covered with wooden floor and anchored to the ground by connecting rods or the bottom with dead concrete.
